Santa Craft

Gather Supplies

Supplies can be found on Amazon or your local craft store. Here is the link to our Amazon list as a resource. https://a.co/0K6OGVx

Supplies:

Satin Ribbon - 1/8 inch wide

Pony Beads- White (21); Red (10); Black (2); Pink (2)

Optional:

Cardstock & Printer to print gift tags

Clear bag to put tag and Santa in

Hole punch if you want to attach to gift tag​

Start Assembly

Using the guide per row lets start: 

Step 1: On one side of the ribbon add one bead 

Step 2: Take the other side of the ribbon that has no bead and loop it around the bead (top to bottom)

Step 3: Evenly pull both sides of the ribbon forcing bead to the bottom of the craft. 

Step 4: Repeat for each row

Holiday Tag

One of Dragonfly Wings volunteers hand drew the Christmas Tree and Ornament for this project. Amazing work we want to share with our community. Here is a link to the file to print tags to go with your creations.  (Add link)

Lay out your supplies

Lay out your supplies in the order of the rows starting with the bottom first. You can use the image provided for your layout.

Cut your ribbon 18 inches for an ornament and 36 inches for a necklace.

Row 1: 1 white

Row 2: 2 white

Row 3: 3 white

Row 4: 4 white

Row 5: 1 White;1 pink; 1 red; 1 pink; 1white

Row 6: 1 white; 1black; 1 white; 1 back; 1 white

Row 7: 5 white

Row 8: 4 red

Row 9: 3 red

Row 10: 2 red

Row 11: 1 red; as a option if you would like to switch out for a small bell you could

Repeat

After a few rows your craft should look similar to this example

Distribution

Attach the ornament to the tag or put both in a small clear bag if you prefer. 

These gifts are ready for distribution to our community. 

Examples to give your donation to could be: Nursing homes and meals on wheels
